Zoro came to me from the loving home of Ned & Betty Castillo of Antioch, California. Zoro came from a litter of 9 puppies, and he was my "pick" of the litter. I originally was hesitant to pick him because I thought he had too much color on his face, but I am glad he wouldn't "let" me pay attention to any of the other puppies. Zoro was the easiest puppy, and has spoiled me forever. He rarely did anything wrong, and we were instantly bonded to each other. Zoro was mainly owner-handled to many of his wins until 2004, when his breeders asked to "borrow" him for a year to campaign him and give him a shot of being a Top 10 show Brittany. While we missed having Zoro around to snuggle and love, we are very proud of everything he accomplished in 2004. Zoro returned home after the 2005 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, and in his first full weekend of dog shows picked up a Group 2 with me handling. Everyone deserves to have a dog like him. He is truly my heart dog. I only hope that someday I will have another dog as special as Zoro.

The Name:

When I decided to get another Brittany, my husband told me that he would let me get one if I let him pick the name. He is an avid hiker and climber. He travels to the Grand Canyon several times a year, and Zoro is named after a peak in the Canyon called Zoroaster. So I call him Zoro for short. I picked the AKC name. While attending class at Arizona State I was munching on a bag of M&M's, the "official candy of the Millennium". Then I got the idea - One In A Millennium. Since Zoro was my first show dog I thought this was fitting. He is one of a kind.
