Robin Tomasi & MurphyWelcome to the web home of Copley Brittanys. My kennel name comes from the town of Copley, Ohio, where I grew up and purchased my first Brittany, Murphy. She introduced me to the high energy, fun loving, ready for anything personality of the Brittany. While I was in college, after lots and lots of research, I finally decided to buy a puppy from Ned & Betty Castillo of Castle Brittanys in Antioch, California. Zoro was a dream puppy from day one, and introduced me to the world of dog shows. Every goal I had he achieved and went beyond. Then Zelda joined our home in October of 2004. She was fun from the beginning... when she wasn't demanding all my attention. Luckily for Zelda she kept winning and thus kept her the center of attention. Chance arrived in 2008 and quickly showed me that he would be the dog to follow in his father's footstep and at the same time create his own path. Chance is a Multiple Best in Show Winner, Multiple Best in Specialty Winner. the American Brittany Club Western & Central Futurity Winner & was Winners Dog/Best of Winners at the 2008 American Brittany Club National Specialty. I am proud to co-own Sam with Liz Weeks, and Sam won the 2009 American Brittany Club Summer Specialty. We also are proud to co-own the 2011 Magnum's Masked Man winner, #1 AKC Gun Dog All-Breeds for 2011 & 2012, and Group Placer, GCH DC Masked Jack of Diamonds "Jack" with Carol Maves. In 2013, I was honored to become a co-owner of "Trace", GCH DC/AFC Diamond Hill Dangerous Man. Trace is being campaigned in the show ring in 2014 and is a Best in Specialty Show winner and Group Placer. He is co-owned with Paul & Lisa Pollock

I have been active in the ABC since 1999. I was a member of the Greater Phoenix Brittany Club from 1999-2006, and I am currently a member of the Idaho Brittany Club and Iowa Brittany Club. I have held the office of Club President, VP of Show, Secretary, as well as serving on field trial committees. At the National level, I am currently the chair of the ABC Facebook Committee and a member of the Scholarship Committee. I served on the National Specialty Show Committee as Trophy Chair for 4 years as well as being a member of the Yearbook Committee, Judges Education, and Website Committee. In addition to ABC, I am a member of NSTRA, NWTF, Idaho Chukar Foundation, and Pheasants Forever.

I attended High School in Copley, Ohio until my Senior Year when I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. I graduated with honors, and was Varsity Soccer Goalie and Basketball player. I graduated from Arizona State College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. During college I worked as a Veterinary Technician, and as a Financial Planners Assistant. After graduating college I was the Procurement Manager for an Electronics and Avionics Engineering firm whose clients included Boeing, BAE, and Raytheon. After moving from Arizona to Idaho, I managed my own Ad & Web Design business. I handled the ad campaign for the Top Winning Smooth Fox Terrier in America of All Time & #1 Show Dog All-Breeds in America for 2010. Through my business I met and worked with individuals across a wide range of breed and all-breed magazines. In 2015, I took a step back from ad design and started working in the local school district as a substitute teacher. After a couple years of students asking me to consider being a "real" teacher, I decided to go back to school and get my teaching certificate. I am endorsed to teach 6th grade math up to Calculus. Currently, I teach Algebra 1 and this year I added AP Computer Science Principles. Teaching has cut back on the dog event schedule, but the dogs love coming to visit my classroom and have been known to give their own virtual lessons.

I am an AKC Breeder of Merit, breeder of 6 Dual Champions, ABC National Gun Dog Champion, ABC Derby Invititational Winner, Over 40 Show Champions, and over 20 Futurity Money Winners (Dual, Field, Show). At the National Specialty Show, dogs out of my breeding have won: Top 20 Award of Merit, Best of Opposite Sex, Award of Merits, Best of Winners, Winners Dog, Reserve Winners Dog, and Best in Puppy Sweepstakes. At the Summer Specialty dog out of my breeding have won: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite, Field Trial Dog, Field Trial Bitch, Awards of Merit, Winners Bitch, Reserve Winners Dog, and Best Puppy. I have also received the AKC Silver Medallion for 5 Bred by Exhibitor Champions

I have owned/co-owned 3 Dual Champions, been the owner or co-owner of over 30 Champions, and have campaigned five top Show Dogs (one of which is a dual pointed Multiple Best in Show winner), and the Top Winning BISS, Group Placing & Best of Breed Dual Champion Bitch who was ranked in the top 10 in the field & show in the same year (only other dog to do this was her father). I have had the privilege to own 2 dogs that have won Best of Breed at two Sectional Futurities as well as 16 other Futurity Money Winners. As an owner my dogs have won at the National Specialty Show: Award of Merits, Best of Winners, Winners Dog, Reserve Winners Bitch, Field Trial Bitch, and Best of Opposite in Dual Sweeps. As an owner my dogs have won at the Summer Specialty Show: Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Award of Merits, Winners Bitch, Reserve Winners Dog, Field Trial Dog, Field Trial Bitch, Best in Veteran Sweeps, and Best of Opposite in Dual Sweeps.

We look forward to what the future has to offer. We have puppies occasionally. Our goal is to improve the breed, and produce healthy and happy Brittanys that new owners will enjoy for many many years.
